Cutey HoneyRe: Cutey Honey Completed: May 2007 Why: I am a pretty big of GAINAX, so when I sat down and watched RE: Cutey Honey, it was love. The over-the-top action and fanservice was just great. Besides, I really wanted to be a retro looking red-head heroine. Honey Flash! How: All the red parts of this costume are hand sew with real red leather, which took a long time, and pain, to get my needle through. The black heart details are top stiched in PVC vinyl with white and pink ribbon details. I hand made the gloves from yellow suede. All the little pink hearts are made from sculpey. The pants were handmade from spandex, with boning to created the correct arc. Comments: Fans of the show really, really liked my outfit, and I was glad to see other people enjoyed it. Even if they thought I was from "Kingdom Hearts"... One of the best moments of the con was getting to met, and getting my picture with, Shinichi Watanabe!! Awards won: Not entered.
